A 40 Year Old Mouse

It has been 40 years since the first computer mouse came to life. In 1968, Douglas Engelbart from Stanford Research Institute created the first mouse. With a rough and heavy design, the first mouse was composed of a wooden shell and a huge round ball.

Douglas Engelbart is still alive at 83 years old. He will celebrate on 9th of December, 40 years since the first public release of his mouse invention.

Google Launches Free Keyword Research Tool

The Inside AdWords blog announced the launch of Googles new free Search-based Keyword Tool. This exciting new tool shows search volume estimates, competition and bid prices next to the keywords. The tool also displays features like your % of organic and paid traffic going to a URL. There are also cool extra filters that can be applied like minimum or maximum search volumes, bid price range, and negative keywords.

Bigger StreetView for Google Maps

Google Maps has made a number of improvements that make it easier to use Pegman (Google's plucky mascot) and StreetView. Two thumbs up for Google! Initiating StreetView no longer involves clicking a button in the upper right of the map. Instead Pegman is integrated into the upgraded navigation module.



StreetView now launches by either dragging Pegman to a point on the map or just zooming to the highest level of resolution.



StreetView can now be expanded to show a full screen or split screen.
